LCHD Radiology has implemented digital technology with its new PACS System!

LHCD has adopted computer radiography (CR) since 2004. CR refers to the x-ray image acquired in digital format using an imaging plate rather than film. Changing to CR integrated the use of the PACS (picture archive communications system.)

PACS is an all-digital, film-less imaging process that provides electronic image of all radiology routines including x-rays, CT scans and ultrasound. This system allows imaging modalities to be integrated, displayed and digitally stored. Authorized users, such as our physicians and family nurse practitioners are able to view the images either from the LCHD Radiology department or from their own offices.

With this system patient demographics are automatically entered onto each and every image. Official radiology reports are scanned and stored digitally and will remain with the images. Added controls will allow digital manipulation of the image such as image contrast, magnification (zoom), and annotations, etc.

Among diagnostic x-ray, other modalities offered at LCHD are ultrasound, dopplers, echos, and computed tomography.

Our technologists have a combined experience of 30 years and are certified and registered with the America Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and are available 24/7.

All these services are offered right here in Lynn County. Why drive all the way to Lubbock when most of your diagnostic imaging needs can be met at LCHD?
